HiLaunch a vsphere client directly to the host that you having the vCenter server VM and shutdown the VC and add CPU and power it ON.

And then once you have it back online again, migrate that old Windows-based vCenter to the vCenter Server Appliance and rejoice.

ESXi does not support any of the hardware you have, especially the Celeron processor which is likely the direct cause. You need compatible hardware to run ESXi, not consumer hardware.

I think Celeron CPUs may not support ESXI. ESXI is suitable for professional virtualization. Celeron CPUs should be used for laptops. We recommend Intel Xeon CPUs and Intel S2600CW motherboard.

Not sure if you still can but I have done it in the past using Host profiles.Don't think its possible just using the UI of an individual host but again ive not needed to for ages..!
