At a minimum, we'll need the vmware.log (or vmware-0.log, ...) which contains the failure. If you are also encountering a "VMM fault 14", we'll quite likely need the vmmcores.gz from the VM's directory to be able to make sense of it.
VAndries, sorry no-one provided you with assistance earlier. The same advice applies to you... If you can provide the vmware.log showing the failure (the one you posted was from after the VM was powered on again, so the failure had moved to another vmware-*.log logfile) and the vmmcores.gz, we might be able to figure out what's happening there.
