Are you referring to the log displayed on the "Events" tab of the vSphere Client? If so, I was just about to post the following update.
The following message is being displayed. Originally thought this was from a previous launch but this is from the current one:
Message from vmhost1.dtc.com.au: Install the VMware Tools package
inside this virtual machine. After the guest operating system starts,
select VM > Install VMware Tools… and follow the instructions.
